OPUS CORPORATE FINANCE LLP, EC2 (2,000 SQ FT)

With their lease expiring at the end of 2016, Opus engaged with Search4 Office Solutions in early April of that year.

We viewed several potential sites with Opus, who were very fortunate to find and secure a deal, under the guidance of Roger Adams, for the 5th floor of 1 Carey Lane, EC2.

We appointed Adam Burtt-Jones of Burtt-Jones & Brewer, who cleverly interpreted the space to provide a great combination of a corporate yet welcoming environment.  The staff at Opus were quick to embrace the concept of the open plan, bench style desks from Vitra, with an element of hot desking for those less often office-based.

The large bespoke storage wall swallows up coats, general filing and individual lockers so the work space looks tidy and uncluttered.  A new dedicated fibre lease line has ensured that connectivity is reliable and fast.

The tea point is a key feature of the design and houses all the mod cons of a kitchen yet discretely hidden.  The area also doubles up as a bar for entertaining.

The main contractor for the fit-out was 21Construction and the work was completed on time on budget, with staff at their desks from mid-October 2016.

This is a fabulous space, with views from St Paul’s to 88 Wood Street, together with a terrace for the occasional breath of fresh air, or indeed a party.
