Plan International is a global children’s charity who work with children in the world’s poorest countries to help them build a better future. For over 80 years they have been standing up for every child’s right to fulfil their potential.

Appointed in January 2024 as Project Manager, we joined the client and property agent on several viewings across London before securing a lease on the 2^nd floor (10,539sqft) of Discovery House near Old Street station (5 mins from their current office).

Over the coming months Search4 Office Solutions tendered and appointed all the consultant and main contractor positions, met weekly with the working group and monthly with the SteerCo with Rose Caldwell, CEO at the head.

The fit-out programme was achieved in just 6 weeks with BJB’s design maximising on the existing CatB layout which was enhanced with flexible furniture and branding, thus meeting the client brief to create a welcoming and fresh space that supports collaborative working.  The Spec construction team were exceptional in their delivery, professionalism and commitment and the client moved in before Christmas 2024 as planned.

With the help of our furniture consultant, IPJ, we were able to secure donations of high-end furniture and height adjustable desks which all played a part in ensuring the overall project expenditure came in below a tight budget that was well managed by BAP.

Search4 Office Solutions assisted with the co-ordination of the relocation, and subsequent clearance of the existing space with Waste to Wonder ensuring that any furniture or equipment not required were donated to schools both locally and in Africa, which met an important sustainability target.
